Knowledge that builds
After completing basic studies at Colegio La Salle in Caracas and in the United States, Juan Lorenzo entered Princeton University, where he obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1948. 1950
Expanding productivity
Under his fruitful leadership, in the 1950s, he promoted the assembly of Cervecería Polar de Oriente C.A., in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state; then Los Cortijos Plant in Caracas; and later on, he devoted himself to the formation of Remavenca, a company that developed the technology to manufacture precooked corn flour. Years later, this pioneer supported the construction of Promasa, in Chivacoa, Yaracuy state, also dedicated to the corn agroindustry.

The muscle of a sales force
As a great promoter of the sales department, in 1957 he undertook the first sales zoning of Caracas, working directly with the salesmen, visiting all the businesses in the city, and laying the foundations of the current Polar sales force.
1960
Creative and innovative vision
In the early 1960s, he consolidated the construction of Cervecería Modelo C.A. in Maracaibo, Zulia state. The vision he had in setting up distributorships in the areas of influence of each of the plants was an essential policy for the organization.
One of the most important legacies he left along with his father was the creation of pre-cooked corn flour, with the objective of making the preparation of arepas easier. With this vision, he contributed to the development of Harina P.A.N. This innovative product, driven by his entrepreneurial and creative spirit, marked a before and after in the Venezuelan table.
1962
A great human quality
In 1962, shortly before his unexpected death, he proposed “the formation of an institution for the purpose of promoting useful works of social interest”, through the creation of El Puntal Association, which later in 1977, would give rise to Empresas Polar Foundation. He always stood out for his great human qualities, and his legacy persists in the fundamental values that guide Empresas Polar today.
